Napoleon Hill encourages people to have a burning desire to reach their goals. He taught that if you want to be rich, you need to set a definite goal with deadline. Think of a definite goal and set a deadline when to achieve it. I already have my definite goal. I will have 100,000 US dollars on or before December 26, 2009. How To Prevent Swine Flu

Do you know that many people are so afraid of Swine flu? Many of the people in Mexico City, United States, Canada and other countries affected by this flu are taking different kinds of vitamins/medicines in order to prevent Swine flu. It's true that prevention is better than cure. But if you always take medicine to prevent a certain disease, it only means that the fear of death reigns in your heart and mind. Keep in mind that if you always think of that disease, you'll have that disease. This is how law of attraction works. Disease will not enter in the body of a man who has very strong and healthy emotional state.

If you always think of Swine Flu and focusing on it, you won't feel good. And if you don't feel good, stress will enter your body. Negative thoughts and stress will seriously degrade the body and the functioning of the brain.

See yourself living in a perfectly healthy body. That's the best way to prevent Swine Flu.

Millionaire Mind Secret: Give More Money To Receive More Money

I believe that that to receive more money, you need to give more money. I was able to prove this multiple times. Until now, I'm giving more money to church and to the less fortunate people. I'm always willing to give money to those people who have great desire to accumulate money for the same purpose I have.

Another secret of receiving more money is to eliminate the emotion of anger. Try to avoid getting angry to anyone the whole day! You'll have a very good feeling if you were able to do this. Focus on the good things that people did to you and to others.

- Millionaire Mind Ben de Leon

Secret to Success: Eliminate The Emotion of Anger

What makes you angry? Do you know how to eliminate your anger?

Many people don't know how to control their anger. If you don't know how to control your anger, you will not be wealthy. Anger management is very important if you want to have a happy, healthy and wealthy life.

Try not to complain even in your mind if you see something wrong. Instead of complaining, think of ways to justify the wrong things that you notice. Be respectful to everyone. Always see the good in everyone. Appreciate the good things that surround you.

The best thing that you can do to eliminate anger is to say thank you every morning. If you wake up in the morning or before you sleep, say thank you. Saying thank you will make you feel good. If you feel good, you will attract good things into your life.

Right or Wrong

Day by day we think… Hour by hour we feel… Minute by minute we imagine… But in a split second everything could either be a milestone or a disaster!

Decision making is an outcome of cognitive process through a collection of several thoughts and alternatives for the execution of an action or an opinion. It is the hardest emotional and mental challenge. Tons of neurons scientifically speaking are needed to come up with a very clear decision, a very firm action and a very powerful opinion. We decide most of our time. We use time, in making a decision. Sometimes, it would take us only seconds to decide, and sometimes it would even take us years just to decide on a certain matter. However the predicament of having to decide is if the decision we have come up with is right or wrong.

Most mediocre people decide not by themselves but through seeking advice from the group where they belong. Do you think they can get a better decision asking people with the same level of thinking as they are? We cannot tell… People think differently. There are average people who can assume better than people who belong to the elite class of society.

Our brains may follow the same physiologic processes, but each differs in capacity to think. Our manner of thinking adjusts with the environment, the people we associate with, the books we read of which information influences us, the news and with the music we listen to. We are emotionally and mentally affected with those things. We unconsciously notice that our brain adapts with the atmosphere we are in. However, we still think on our own. It is just that we cannot control the situation.

There are times that we are scared to decide. We are hesitant to say a word. We are uncertain to do things because we don’t know what will happen in effect to the decision we make. We don’t know if our decision is right or wrong. We think of what people’s reaction will be. We tend to think of just anything that will prevent us from saying our opinion and keeping us from taking action. We are over analyzing… We are being pessimistic. We let our thoughts remain inside a closed box. Nevertheless, we still decide not to speak out our own thoughts.

Decision-Making may not be an answer to weigh if certain things are right or wrong, what it does is, it helps us deal with every rising circumstances that we fear facing.

You are responsible for every situation, and by hook or by crook YOU will HAVE to decide no matter what. It will be anyone’s nature to give a decision orally or verbally. It is your decision. The decision lies in you. It’s your responsibility to have a choice, take a stand… and DECIDE. The next challenge after deciding to take a stand is: Are you prepared for the potential effects of the decision you have made?

A Money Maker

Money is just an illusion but needed by our physical being to sustain our necessities to survive disregarding our desires and luxuries in life. It is just a piece of paper where everyone wants to have not just a little but more than enough.

Each one of us I know is struggling to battle the loss of amount in our ATM cards, saying “zero balance”. Expenses are inevitable. Every time we go out of our apartment will cost pesos even if we are just inside. Everything that surrounds us has a cost.

Now I just want you to know that wise spending of that piece of paper will help us achieve the triumph between the battle of “out of stock” and “over flowing stock”. Of course we are on the side of the over flowing one. We don’t wish to be out of stock right?

Being a wise spender of money is having a determined set of mind and discipline to control the outburst of emotion with regards on the things that really caught our attention to pull out something on our pocket. Spending money on the things that will just satisfy us for a bit of time is not a good act of saving. We really need to determine and prioritize our expenses but not to the point of depriving ourselves. It is also a matter of decision and balancing which one is more necessary than the other.

I have a rule I set in my mind regarding money matter. Don’t think money is nothing. Though I said it is just an illusion, money is important as we know. Of course now in this generation we can not live without money. Some people especially the young one think that money is just nothing. They believe that it is not that important to have. So what they do is to spend it to the point that only air comes out in their pocket. During my High School Year although I belong to the lower middle class family, I thought that money is nothing. Because at that age I thought that it causes people to do bad things- robbery, snatching, hatred and envy. When times that I have money I will not let it take a long time in my pocket and definitely I will buy anything without realizing that after, I will be a poor man. A man who don’t have lunch meal, who can not buy materials for my project and who can not afford to pay for transportation fare. Think about it, money is important to have.

Do not love money. Money is not the thing to be loved for. Do not make yourself conquer by the loved of money. God says in his word that “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil”. True enough that what is happening in our community is the rampant evil act due to their love and craving for money. People will do anything just to have it. They will involve themselves in any illegal deeds to earn money until they become high on it. They think that having many sacks of money will free them from problem at all and can give them the happiness they wanted. Money is just a paper. It just happened that human gave value for it. It doesn’t have life for us to love. It is just a reward for the hard work and for every excellence we committed. I remember one thing when I was listening in the audio book of “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kayosaki; he says “Do not work for money. Money will work for you”.

Don’t be impulsive. Think first before doing an action. Most of the times we are getting impulsive to buy something especially when we have our salary. Our mind focuses on which to spend it. We are thinking of buying things that will add more "pogi/ganda points"(means publicity) for us although we know that we still have some things to prioritize. Buying new clothes, new shoes and other new things which are not that necessary will pull us down to save money. At the end of the day some of us are surprised of where our money went to. We do not know where we spent it. We almost forgot everything we had bought. That is the trend for money. It seems like a bubble that will pop in just a glance.

These are just some of my own tips that really help me a lot in saving… I am not a millionaire yet but I know the promises of God. God said in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” We must be accountable and responsible on spending our money. Money is not the key to success but it is our attitude towards it… Though we need to live our life one step at a time, we still have to use our wisdom that there are many tomorrows that will come…

What should you learn as IT student?

Here are my suggestions about what to learn by IT students in order to easily find a job after graduation:

1. SQL - Structured Query Language
As a student, you should know SQL. SQL is programming language for querying and modifying data and managing databases. It is applicable to MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other relational databases.

2. Any programming language like Java, C++, PHP
Choose one programming language that will be your primary skill. If you prefer Java, concentrate on Java. You could also learn other programming language but my suggestion is that choose one language that you want to master.

3. Linux Operating System
Most of the servers are in Linux environment. You should know the basic commands in Linux. Windows operating system is almost everywhere so you could easily learn it. Only few people know Linux. Linux is the best operating system for me.

4. English Communication Skill
If you do have all the IT skills above, your next move is to develop your communication skill. You should know how to sell your skills. You could only sell your IT skills if you have a good English communication skill.

5. My final suggestion is: Work as an employee for at most 10 years. After 10 years or earlier, you should have your own business. Don't work hard for money for the rest of your life. Let the money work hard for you.

Save Your Marriage

Save Your Marrige
by Olalekan Osiade
Source: Nigerian Compass
Date Posted: March 24, 2009

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes. Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking.. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why? I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, "you are not a man!"

That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Dew. I didn't love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew. When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again. In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: She didn't want anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible.. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month's time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken marriage. This was agreeable to me.

But she had something more. She asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that everyday for the month's duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door every morning I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request. I told Dew about my wife's divorce conditions. She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully. My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, "daddy is holding mummy in his arms..." His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn't tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger. She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily. Suddenly it hit me... She had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head. Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy. I drove to office.... Jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind... I walked upstairs.. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. "Do you have a fever?" She said. I moved her hand off my head. "Sorry, Dew," I said, "I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart." Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away. At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart. That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, 1 run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank, blah....blah. ..blah. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse's friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

The More You Share, The More You Will Have

Do you believe that the more you share, the more you will have?

I already tested this idea and it worked for me. When you will give something, you will receive that something. When you'll give money to charity or church, you will receive more money. That's the secret of the people who accumulated millions or even billions of dollars.

Try to observe the millionaire or billionaire people. Ask them if they give money to the charity or church. I'm sure that most of them give money to their favorite charitable institution or to the church.

I encourage you to test this idea. If it worked, feel free to leave a comment here to share your experiences about giving. Tell the world the great power behind giving.

My Life As An Employee

I got my first job last June 16, 2006. I was 20 years old that time and will be turning 21 on December 26, 2006. I worked as a junior programmer in a certain bank. I worked hard and I was able to develop a web application that is very useful to the bank. It’s an automated credit management system. It’s about housing loan online application and management. I could consider that as my biggest achievement. I think they’re using that system until now. I left the bank in October 2007.

In November 2007, I worked in an IT company. It’s a new company. That company is 1 year and 5 months old when I joined. I worked there for 10 months. I met many friends in that company. I also learned many things from that company that made me stronger today. I faced many challenges in my life when I was working at the company. It’s my first time to deal with the co-workers from outside of the Philippines. This company offers higher compensation and benefits compared to my previous company. I enjoyed my stay with the company. After 10 months, I left the company. On September 5, 2008, I officially separated with the company.

On September 8, 2009, I joined a multi-national company. This is a very big company. This company has more or less 180,000 employees around the world. This is my first time to join in a very big company. I believe that I could learn more from this company. So far, I’m so happy with my stay with this company. I promised to myself that I’d be staying for at least 2 years until I save money for my own business.

I have set my definite goal. I will keep that definite goal to myself. I believe in this popular quote “Tell the world what you intend to do, but first show it!”.As an employee, I will always keep on looking for ways to earn more with little effort. I believe that my millionaire mind will help me to become a millionaire on or before December 26, 2009.

Feel Good

Always feel good and you will attract more good things into your life. If you have problems, you should still be feeling good. Note that successful people are bigger than their problems. Unsuccessful people are smaller than their problems. Can you see the difference?

Think of the things that you want to attract into your life. After that, start to feel good. Eliminate all your negative emotions like anger, jealousy, greed, and the likes. Start doing good things. Always have the emotion of love.

I know that most people unconsciously see the bad things to other people. As a human, it's normal. If a person did bad things to you, it's normal that you will start looking for more bad things that he/she currently does. As you start looking for more bad things that he/she does, you also start focusing on things that you don't want. If that happens, I'm sure that you no longer feel good. I suggest you always see the good things in everyone. Focus on the good things that he/she did. Appreciate the good things that he/she did. This way, you will have more friends around you and you will have higher 'Feel Good' factor.

Definite Goal

Do you have a very definite goal in your life?

Definite goal is very important. In terms of money, you should set a definite goal. For example, you might want to say 'I want to have $100,000 on or before December 31, 2009'. That's an example of definite goal. You are very definite to the amount and you set a deadline when to achieve that definite goal. Everyday, think of that definite goal. You'll be amazed because plans will start to come out in your mind as you always think of that definite goal.

So, what are you waiting for? Start to set your definite goal and set your deadline. After setting your definite goal with deadline, start thinking of it everyday. You might want to write it in a piece of paper and paste it in your wall where you can see it everyday. I suggest place it on the left, right, bottom, or above the mirror so you can see it everyday. Every time you see your definite goal, you have to be thankful and believe that you already received. After that, say 'thank you' and feel good.

That's one of the secrets of the people who became millionaire. I believe, you have a millionaire mind. You have to develop it by doing my suggestions above. Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope this would help you to become one of the millionaires.

Burning Desire

I have a burning desire to become a millionaire. It's already 1AM February 12, 2009. My definite goal is to be a millionaire before year 2009 ends. I feel that I can achieve this goal.

Before I sleep, I always look at the picture of the thing that I want (i.e. house and lot, big building for office rent, my brand new car). I know that I am dreaming but the feeling of a millionaire is what I feel right now. I believe that most of the millionaire know how I feel today.

Many people say that my dream is so big. They don't know that rich people think big and that's what I am doing. Rich people always focus on the things that they want. Poor people focus on the things that they don't want. Law of Attraction always works. If you focus on good things, you'll get more good things into your life. If you focus on the things that you don't want, you'll attract more of it. Whew...

You should always feel good. That's the secret of the millionaires. :)

Always focus on the things that you really want. If you see your dream car, say thank you for you can afford it and you can buy it.
