What should you learn as IT student?

Here are my suggestions about what to learn by IT students in order to easily find a job after graduation:

1. SQL - Structured Query Language
As a student, you should know SQL. SQL is programming language for querying and modifying data and managing databases. It is applicable to MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other relational databases.

2. Any programming language like Java, C++, PHP
Choose one programming language that will be your primary skill. If you prefer Java, concentrate on Java. You could also learn other programming language but my suggestion is that choose one language that you want to master.

3. Linux Operating System
Most of the servers are in Linux environment. You should know the basic commands in Linux. Windows operating system is almost everywhere so you could easily learn it. Only few people know Linux. Linux is the best operating system for me.

4. English Communication Skill
If you do have all the IT skills above, your next move is to develop your communication skill. You should know how to sell your skills. You could only sell your IT skills if you have a good English communication skill.

5. My final suggestion is: Work as an employee for at most 10 years. After 10 years or earlier, you should have your own business. Don't work hard for money for the rest of your life. Let the money work hard for you.
